| As members of Utah Society of Fund Raisers, we agree to lead our professional lives by adhering to the following ethical standards:
- We shall not accept compensation that is based on a percentage of charitable contributions nor accept finder's fees.
- We will promote the merits of our institution without disparaging others.
- We will respect all individuals without regard to race, color, sex, creed, ethnic identity, physical challenge or age.
- We will make full disclosure to our employer and avoid potential conflicts of interest or acts which could result in personal gain.
- We will observe the highest standards of personal and professional conduct and ethics.
- We will honor the rights of privacy of donors and confidential information.
- We will utilize donations only for the intended purpose specified by the donor.
- We will comply with all local, state and federal laws governing the profession.
- We will implement sound business practices, fiduciary responsibility and accepted accounting and reporting procedures.
- We will provide leadership and support in the civic development of the community.
